Death toll in Israeli attacks on Lebanon rises to 4,047
Lebanese Health Minister Firas Abiad announced on Wednesday that the death toll from over a year of Israeli aggression on Lebanon had reached 4,047, with the majority of casualties occurring since mid-September.
“Until now, we have recorded 4,047 dead and 16,638 wounded,” Abiad stated during a press briefing, noting that the figures may be underestimated due to unreported deaths.
Most of the fatalities were reported after September 15, a period marked by intensified Israeli attacks, according to the minister. He provided the update a week after a ceasefire was implemented, bringing a temporary halt to the violence.
The conflict has left a devastating impact on civilians and infrastructure, with international organizations urging both sides to prioritize humanitarian relief and reconstruction efforts. (ILKHA)
