Two Lebanese citizens martyred in Israeli drone strike on southern Lebanon
Two Lebanese civilians were killed and two others injured in an Israeli airstrike on the village of Rub al-Thalatheen in southern Lebanon on Saturday night, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA).
The attack, reportedly carried out by an Israeli drone, is part of ongoing airstrikes targeting southern Lebanese villages. Residents in the area continue to face constant bombardment, the agency noted.
In response to the strikes, the Lebanese army has urged civilians to avoid previously targeted locations, warning of the potential presence of unexploded ordnance. While some displaced residents have returned to their homes in certain areas, border villages remain largely uninhabited due to the continued Israeli military presence.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced earlier on Saturday that Israeli aggression has claimed the lives of 3,961 citizens and injured 16,520 since the start of the conflict.
The humanitarian situation in southern Lebanon remains dire, with ceasefire violations and escalating violence deepening the crisis. (ILKHA)
