Afghan Deputy PM arrives in Uzbekistan for bilateral talks
Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Afghanistan's Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, arrived in Uzbekistan on Sunday to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to the media department of the Office of the Prime Minister, the delegation received a warm welcome at the airport from Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev, along with Afghanistan’s ambassador and other representatives of the Islamic Emirate.
The visit, initiated at the invitation of Uzbek officials, aims to enhance and expand political, social, economic, and cultural ties between the two neighboring nations.
Discussions during the visit are expected to focus on fostering cooperation in various fields, including trade, infrastructure development, and regional stability. This marks another step in the strengthening of Afghanistan-Uzbekistan relations under the Islamic Emirate. (ILKHA)
