These agreements span various domains, including transportation, trade, and product safety, reflecting Türkiye’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation.

Among these agreements is the Turkish-Latvian Land Transport Joint Committee Meeting Protocol, signed in Riga on July 13, 2023. This protocol aims to enhance trade and road transport between Türkiye and Latvia, addressing issues such as information exchange and the allocation of transit document quotas for 2023 and 2024. Similarly, the Turkish-Italian Land Transport Joint Committee Meeting Protocol, signed in Rome on October 18, 2023, focuses on fostering cooperation in passenger transport between Türkiye and Italy.

Türkiye has also solidified its partnership with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) through three critical agreements. The Implementation Protocol on Product Safety, signed on January 19, 2023, ensures the safety of products imported into the TRNC. Additionally, the Protocol on Preliminary Information Exchange facilitates the exchange of data on vehicles and goods crossing the borders. The In-Kind Grant Agreement further underscores Türkiye’s support for the TRNC by formalizing material assistance.

Another significant agreement is the one signed between Türkiye and Ukraine in Istanbul on March 8, 2023. This accord establishes an electronic information-sharing system aimed at enhancing mutual trade and streamlining transportation operations.

These agreements highlight Türkiye’s dedication to fostering robust bilateral relationships and addressing critical areas such as logistics, trade facilitation, and product safety. With their publication in the Official Gazette, these agreements have now entered into force, setting the stage for practical implementation and deeper international collaboration. (ILKHA)
