Upon receiving information about life rafts carrying migrants in distress, Coast Guard boats were immediately dispatched to the affected areas. The rescued individuals were brought safely ashore and provided with necessary assistance.

In separate operations across the same three provinces, authorities apprehended 113 additional irregular migrants.

All migrants have been transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management following routine procedures.

Türkiye has frequently criticized Greece for pushing back migrants attempting to cross into Europe, citing violations of international law and endangering human lives. This latest incident adds to the growing concerns over the treatment of migrants in the region.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the pushbacks are ongoing. Turkish authorities continue to emphasize their commitment to safeguarding lives and adhering to international humanitarian standards. (ILKHA)
