20 arrested in nationwide anti-ISIS operations across Türkiye
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Monday that 20 out of 54 suspects apprehended during operations against ISIS across 18 provinces have been formally arrested, with an additional 11 suspects placed under judicial control.
The operations, codenamed 'Gürz-26,' were organized by the Gendarmerie in coordination with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and the Gendarmerie General Command TEM Department in Afyonkarahisar, Aydın, Bursa, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Hatay, İstanbul, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Konya, Kırşehir, Kilis, Mersin, Nevşehir, Samsun, Sinop, Tekirdağ, and Trabzon.
Minister Yerlikaya shared details of the operation on his social media account, highlighting the extensive efforts of the Provincial Gendarmerie Commands TEM Branch Directorates in targeting ISIS-related activities across these regions.
