The strikes, which targeted residential areas and medical facilities, have drawn widespread condemnation amid a worsening humanitarian crisis.

Local sources reported that an airstrike hit the home of the Al-Daya family in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City. Emergency crews scrambled to rescue individuals trapped under the rubble, with fears mounting that more victims may be buried.

In the northern Gaza Strip, Israeli drones launched attacks on remaining homes in the Jabalia refugee camp. While no casualties were reported in Jabalia, similar attacks on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza resulted in five fatalities and several injuries. The home of the Al-Hour family was struck in the attack.

Israeli forces also targeted the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza. According to reports, drones bombed the hospital grounds, injuring several medical staff members. Some of the injuries were described as severe.

The hospital’s sole power generator was damaged in the attack, significantly hampering operations. Medical authorities warned that the blockade imposed on Gaza prevents repairs, leaving the facility in a critical state. In southern Gaza near Rafah, Israeli forces demolished multiple homes, compounding the destruction across the region.

Since the escalation of violence in October 2023, the ongoing Israeli airstrikes have claimed at least 44,056 Palestinian lives, with over 104,268 others injured. Thousands of civilians remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to rescue teams due to the ongoing bombardments.

The UN Security Council has repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire, while the International Court of Justice has issued directives urging measures to prevent further genocide and alleviate the humanitarian catastrophe. Despite international pressure, the violence in Gaza continues unabated.

The sustained attacks have drawn criticism from human rights organizations and global leaders. Calls for accountability and urgent action to address the crisis remain a focal point of international discussions. (ILKHA)
