Turkish Armed Forces neutralize 3 PKK members in northern Iraq
The Turkish Ministry of Defence reported that three members of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) were killed in an operation in the Gara region of northern Iraq.
According to the Ministry’s statement, the Turkish Armed Forces successfully detected and neutralized the militants as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts.
The statement emphasized the Turkish military’s commitment to carrying out “unpredictable, unconventional, rapid, and continuous operations” to eliminate terrorism at its source. The operation marks a significant step in Türkiye's broader efforts to combat PKK terrorism in the region, which has long been a focus of Turkish defense operations.
