Turkish Airlines cancels Tehran-Istanbul flights amid adverse weather
Turkish Airlines (THY) announced the cancellation of flights between Tehran and Istanbul on Monday due to adverse weather conditions in the Iranian capital.
According to a statement from the THY, flight TK 874 from Istanbul to Tehran and the return flight TK 875 were both canceled as a result of severe weather disruptions.
Meanwhile, in Istanbul, dense fog also caused significant disruptions. The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure's Directorate General of Coastal Safety reported the suspension of ship traffic in both directions through the Bosphorus, citing safety concerns.
The weather-related disruptions highlight the ongoing challenges posed by seasonal conditions in the region, impacting both air and sea transportation. (ILKHA)
