Turkish government takes action to shelter homeless during winter
The Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Services has initiated a nationwide effort to ensure that orphaned children living on the streets have adequate shelter and basic necessities during the upcoming winter months.
A circular has been issued to all 81 provincial governorships and relevant social services departments, directing them to identify homeless and orphaned individuals and provide them with necessary support. The ministry aims to prevent any citizen from facing the harsh winter conditions without proper shelter.
Orphans who are identified will be accommodated in public guesthouses and hotels. Additionally, they will receive essential services such as cleaning, healthcare, food, clothing, and psychological counseling as needed. (ILKHA)
