Nine Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza Strip
Israeli airstrikes on Wednesday killed at least nine Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip, including five who were targeted near Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia and four others who died when a house was bombed in the same area, according to local sources.
A further fatality occurred when an Israeli drone struck Rafah city, killing a Palestinian citizen. Additionally, a 10-year-old girl died from injuries sustained two days earlier in the Nuseirat refugee camp. She had been critically wounded when an Israeli strike hit a tent sheltering her family, killing her parents and seriously injuring her brother.
The ongoing Israeli military operation against Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, has resulted in at least 43,665 Palestinian deaths, the majority of whom are women and children, according to the latest reports. Another 103,076 Palestinians have been injured, though the full extent of casualties remains unclear as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency responders due to the severity of the bombardment.
The situation in Gaza continues to escalate, with Israeli forces conducting air, sea, and ground assaults on the territory. (ILKHA)
