Hamas condemns Israeli law allowing deportation of Palestinian fighters’ families
The Hamas Movement has issued a strong condemnation following the Israeli Knesset’s approval of a law that permits the deportation of family members of Palestinian resistance fighters.
Hamas described the new legislation as a reflection of Israel’s “hostile and racist approach” towards Palestinians, stressing that the law stands in violation of fundamental human rights and constitutes an act of collective punishment prohibited under international humanitarian law.
Hamas called upon the global community and human rights organizations to denounce the law, urging them to “take measures and procedures” to pressure Israel into repealing what it termed as "unjust laws that degrade human dignity."
The controversial legislation, approved by Israel’s parliament on Thursday, authorizes the government to expel family members of Palestinians involved in resistance activities, a policy that includes Palestinian citizens of Israel as well. (ILKHA)
