The attacks targeted civilian homes and vehicles across several areas in Gaza, leading to widespread devastation and loss of life.

Sources indicate that two houses belonging to the Abu Ammuna and Saidam families in al-Mukhayyam al-Jadid, an extension of the Nuseirat refugee camp, were hit, resulting in the deaths of nine civilians and injuries to dozens more. Additionally, an Israeli airstrike targeted a motorcycle in Az-Zawayda village, killing two civilians. Another strike on a residential area near the ash-Shanti locality, northwest of Gaza City, caused four fatalities and left multiple casualties.

These attacks continue despite a legally binding decision by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) urging Israel to cease military action in Rafah, citing potential violations of the Genocide Convention. Since October 7, Israel’s offensive on Gaza has resulted in at least 43,204 Palestinian deaths and over 101,640 injuries, with the majority of casualties reportedly women and children, according to Palestinian and international organizations.

The bombardment has also led to mass displacement within Gaza. Nearly two million people have been forced to leave their homes, with most seeking refuge in the crowded southern city of Rafah, near the Egyptian border. This movement marks one of the largest forced displacements in Palestinian history since the 1948 Nakba, underscoring the severe humanitarian crisis facing Gaza’s civilian population as the conflict continues.
