Death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon reaches 2,792
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported Tuesday that the death toll from Israeli aggression in Lebanon has risen to 2,792, with 12,772 injured since hostilities began in October 2023.
According to the ministry's latest update, Israeli raids over the past 24 hours alone have claimed 82 lives and left 180 people injured.
Since late September 2024, Israel has intensified its air and artillery bombardments across Lebanon, expanding strikes to include the capital, Beirut. The escalation has resulted in thousands of casualties and widespread destruction, displacing over one million Lebanese citizens who have been forced to flee their homes amid the increasing violence.
The Lebanese government has repeatedly called for international intervention to curb the attacks, citing the worsening humanitarian crisis as hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals face urgent needs for shelter, food, and medical aid. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to exchange fire, impacting Lebanon's infrastructure and escalating fears of further destabilization in the region. (ILKHA)
