Over 60 dead, 100 injured as Israeli air raids target Lebanese towns in Baalbek-Hermel
Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon’s Baalbek-Hermel and Bekaa regions have resulted in the deaths of at least 60 people and left more than 100 others injured, according to initial reports.
The strikes, which targeted over 15 towns across the Baalbek district, mark one of the most violent days since the onset of Israeli aggression in the area.
Local media sources describe the strikes as “massacres,” with dozens of air raids causing extensive casualties and damage across the district.
The death toll, initially lower, has risen as more details emerge from affected towns, and at least 100 people are reported wounded in the attacks.
The escalating violence has led to significant concern over civilian safety and infrastructure in Baalbek-Hermel, a region now facing some of the heaviest bombardments of the Israeli occupation. (ILKHA)
