Turkish Coast Guard rescues migrants pushed back by Greek authorities
The Turkish Coast Guard has rescued 30 irregular migrants, including eight children, who were pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek authorities.
The migrants were found adrift in two life rafts off the coast of Datça district in Muğla province.
Turkish authorities also detained two individuals suspected of being involved in migrant smuggling.
The rescued migrants were subsequently handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for further processing. (ILKHA)
