Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei's account suspended hours after joining X
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei created a Hebrew-language account on Elon Musk-owned X (formerly Twitter) to engage with his Israeli followers.
However, the account, @Khamenei_Heb, was suspended just hours later after he made statements threatening retaliation for recent Israeli airstrikes on Iran.
In his posts, Khamenei declared: "The Zionist regime made a mistake. It made a miscalculation regarding Iran. We will make it understand Iran’s power, capability, and resolve." Following these comments, the account was locked for violating X’s rules.
The suspension came after Israeli airstrikes targeted military sites in Iran on October 26, resulting in the deaths of four Iranian soldiers. This military action was reportedly a response to an earlier attack by Tehran on October 1, when Iran launched approximately 200 ballistic missiles toward Tel Aviv. (ILKHA)
