The attack targeted the Ghabayen family residence, which was sheltering displaced members of the Kahlout family, local sources reported. Several people remain unaccounted for as search and rescue operations continue amidst intense bombardments.

In another tragic incident, an airstrike hit the Salah al-Din school in western Gaza City, which was housing displaced families. The attack led to the death of one civilian and injured others. Additional Israeli artillery and airstrikes struck Rafah in southern Gaza, with flares and projectiles launched by Israeli ground troops into northern areas near the al-Bureij and al-Nuseirat refugee camps.

Over 35 civilians, including women and children, have reportedly lost their lives in Beit Lahiya due to recent attacks. Strikes have targeted residential buildings belonging to the Abu Shadak, Masri, and Salman families in the densely populated area near the town’s western roundabout.

This surge in violence comes as Israeli forces continue a ground invasion and intensive airstrikes across northern Gaza, aiming to displace local populations. The offensive, which began on October 5, has resulted in at least 42,847 Palestinian fatalities, with more than 100,544 injured. Thousands remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to rescue teams due to relentless attacks.

The situation has drawn international condemnation. Despite calls for an immediate ceasefire from the United Nations Security Council and directives from the International Court of Justice urging preventive measures against genocide, Israel’s aggression remains unrestrained.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to deepen as casualties rise, with concerns mounting over the severe impact on civilians and the lack of access to emergency aid. (ILKHA)
