Iranian President: We will respond to any stupidity with tact and intelligence
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed heartfelt condolences following the martyrdom of the country’s security personnel in a series of attacks reportedly launched by the Israeli forces and a foreign-backed terrorist group.
“Children of Iran sacrificed their lives in defense of the homeland,” Pezeshkian wrote on social media Saturday night, addressing the nation in Farsi. He extended his condolences to the families and the Iranian people, honoring “the brave military personnel and policemen” who lost their lives.
The president emphasized Iran’s resilience, stating that “Iran's enemies should know that these valiant people stand fearlessly in defense of their homeland and will respond to any aggression with tact and intelligence.”
The statement comes after an Israeli airstrike led to the deaths of four members of Iran’s armed forces, marking an escalation in regional tensions. Additionally, in the southeastern city of Taftan in Sistan and Baluchestan province, ten police officers were killed in a terrorist attack attributed to Jeish al-Adl.
Pezeshkian’s comments underscored Iran’s commitment to its national security and the sacrifices of its security forces, amid a challenging security landscape shaped by both regional hostilities and domestic threats. (ILKHA)
