Hezbollah hits Israeli intelligence base in Tel Aviv
Hezbollah continued its intensified attacks against Israeli targets on Wednesday, launching multiple strikes across Israel, with the city of Tel Aviv being a frequent target.
The Lebanese resistance group declared that the operations were carried out in support of Palestinians in Gaza and in defense of Lebanon.
In a statement released by Hezbollah's Military Media, the group confirmed a "qualitative missile strike" targeting the Glilot Base, home to Israel's 8200 military intelligence unit, located on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. According to Hezbollah, the precision rocket barrage was launched at 8:00 AM under the codename "Khaybar operations."
The statement read: "With the call ‘Labbayk Ya Nasrallah,’ Islamic Resistance fighters bombarded the Glilot Base with a precision rocket barrage, as part of ongoing operations against the Zionist entity."
Following the Tel Aviv strike, Hezbollah reported additional attacks throughout the day. At 9:20 and 9:30 AM, rockets were launched at Israeli military gatherings in Adaisseh and the area between Adaisseh and Rub Al-Thalatheen, according to the group's second and third statements.
Hezbollah continued its attacks at 11:00 AM, firing a barrage of rockets at an Israeli gathering between Misgav Am, Rub Al-Thalatheen, and Markaba. This was followed by renewed strikes on Adaisseh and nearby areas at 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM. Additional rocket salvos targeted Misgav Am and Rab Al-Thalathin at 2:10 PM and 2:15 PM.
The ninth and tenth statements from Hezbollah confirmed further strikes between 2:20 and 2:30 PM, with fighters targeting Israeli forces on the eastern outskirts of Taybeh and in the orchards of Al-Manara.
Israeli media reported rocket fire from Lebanon towards Acre and Kraot, located north of Haifa, during the day.
Hezbollah's attacks come a day after the group launched a record 39 operations against Israeli targets on Tuesday, involving rocket strikes, the downing of Israeli drones, and other attacks on Israeli military positions and civilian areas in northern and central Israel, including Tel Aviv.
The ongoing operations by Hezbollah are part of its stated efforts to support Palestinian resistance in Gaza amid the escalating Israeli-Palestinian conflict. (ILKHA)
