He also mentioned Türkiye's initiative at the United Nations aimed at halting weapons sales to Israel, adding that Italy's support would significantly strengthen this effort.

President Erdoğan expressed concern over Israeli attacks on Palestinian territories, including Gaza, as well as Lebanon and UN missions, calling these actions "unacceptable." He praised Italy's response to Israel's aggression and reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to pursuing peace in the region.
