The ceremony was attended by parliament members, the National Council of Regions and Districts, and senior government officials. In his address, Saied pledged to protect the country's independence and territorial integrity, uphold the Constitution, and serve the interests of Tunisia with unwavering loyalty.

Emphasizing the importance of combating terrorism and corruption, Saied identified these issues as critical challenges for Tunisia's future. He also reaffirmed Tunisia's sovereignty, rejecting any foreign interference in the country's internal affairs, stating, "The sovereignty of Tunisia is a red line that must not be crossed."

Saied was re-elected for his second term after securing 90.69% of the vote in the presidential election held on October 6. As per Article 92 of the Tunisian Constitution, the president takes an oath before assuming office for a five-year term. Saied, 66, has served as president since his first election victory in 2019.
