Prabowo Subianto sworn In as Indonesia's eighth president
Prabowo Subianto was sworn in on Sunday as Indonesia’s eighth president, marking the end of Joko Widodo’s 10-year tenure.
The inauguration ceremony took place in Jakarta, with numerous foreign dignitaries in attendance, according to local reports.
Prabowo, who previously served as defense minister in President Widodo’s Cabinet, was elected to the presidency in February.
Later in the day, Prabowo is expected to announce the names of his Cabinet ministers as he begins his term leading the world's fourth-most populous nation. (ILKHA)
