HÜDA PAR Chairman offers condolences for HAMAS Leader Yahya Sinwar’s martyrdom
In a heartfelt message of condolence, HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu paid tribute to Yahya Sinwar, the leader of HAMAS, who was martyred while fighting on the front lines against Israeli occupation forces.
Sinwar, a key figure in the Palestinian resistance, devoted his entire life to the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Al-Quds al-Sharif, and Palestine from occupation. His death, which has been widely mourned across the Muslim world, is seen as a significant loss for the Palestinian cause, yet also a moment to reinforce the unyielding spirit of resistance.
Yapıcıoğlu, quoting the Quran to underscore the spiritual significance of martyrdom, emphasized the divine promise for those who sacrifice their lives in the path of Allah. He invoked Surat al-Baqara (2:154), which states, “Do not say ‘dead’ for those killed in the way of Allah. No, they are alive, but you do not know.” He further referenced Surat al-Ahzab (33:23), noting how Yahya Sinwar embodied the true spirit of a believer who kept his promise to Allah by dedicating himself fully to the struggle for Palestine's liberation.
Yapıcıoğlu described Sinwar as a "great mujahid" who, like the leaders before him, never wavered in his mission. “He fought for this cause until his last breath and reached the rank of martyrdom while fighting heroically on the front lines against the enemy in a manner befitting him,” Yapıcıoğlu remarked, adding, “May Allah honor his position.”
Yapıcıoğlu praised Sinwar's life-long dedication to resisting Israeli occupation, highlighting that his martyrdom is not an end but a continuation of a larger cause that will persist, undeterred by the loss of any one leader or commander. “A cause that grows martyr by martyr, whose determination and resolve are honed as each leader is martyred, does not end. A nation in love with martyrdom and freedom cannot be in captivity,” Yapıcıoğlu declared, underscoring the powerful spirit of sacrifice and defiance that fuels the Palestinian resistance.
Yapıcıoğlu's message emphasized that Sinwar’s legacy would serve as a lasting inspiration for both the present generation and those who will continue the fight for Palestinian freedom in the future. “The unwavering determination, heroic struggle, and martyrdom of the Great Commander Yahya Sinwar will be a source of inspiration not only today but also for those who resist oppression throughout the ages,” he said.
Yapıcıoğlu also directed his condolences to the Palestinian people, resistance groups, and particularly HAMAS, acknowledging the profound impact of Sinwar’s leadership on the movement. He affirmed that despite the tremendous personal loss for those who knew and fought alongside Sinwar, his legacy would not fade. “The blessed legacy he left will not remain on the ground, and the Palestinian Resistance will continue on its way,” he added.
In his statement, Yapıcıoğlu condemned what he termed the “genocidal Zionist terrorists,” blaming Israeli forces for the continued suffering of the Palestinian people. He reiterated that the violent tactics used by Israel against Palestinian civilians and fighters alike will ultimately fail, as the resistance remains deeply rooted in a culture that values martyrdom and freedom above all else.
Yapıcıoğlu vowed that HÜDA PAR would continue its steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian people and their resistance efforts. “We reaffirm once again that we will continue to be in solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance,” he declared, reiterating his commitment to supporting the struggle for liberation and justice in Palestine.
In closing, Yapıcıoğlu offered prayers and blessings for Yahya Sinwar, celebrating him as a fearless leader whose courage and sacrifice will resonate throughout the ages. “I congratulate the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar, the fearless leader of HAMAS; I offer my condolences to all resistance groups, especially HAMAS, the Palestinian people, and those who embrace the Palestinian Cause,” Yapıcıoğlu concluded.
Yahya Sinwar’s martyrdom comes at a critical time for the Palestinian struggle, as Israeli forces have intensified their operations in Gaza and the West Bank. Sinwar, a former prisoner who spent over 20 years in Israeli detention before becoming one of the most influential leaders of HAMAS, was widely regarded for his strategic mind and uncompromising commitment to the resistance. His death is expected to galvanize further resistance efforts, with leaders and supporters alike vowing to continue the fight in his honor.
For many Palestinians and supporters of the Palestinian cause, Sinwar's martyrdom reinforces the idea that their struggle is one of endurance and faith, with each loss strengthening their resolve. The sentiment expressed by Yapıcıoğlu reflects a broader conviction among many in the region that freedom and justice for Palestine will be achieved, no matter the cost. (ILKHA)
