Bus accident in central Türkiye kills 7, injures 33
A tragic accident in Türkiye’s central Aksaray province has resulted in the deaths of seven people and injuries to 33 others, including two in critical condition, according to Turkish Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya.
The accident occurred on the E-90 highway near Aksaray city when a tour bus carrying two drivers, one guide, and 41 passengers overturned while en route from Balıkesir to the Cappadocia region.
Yerlikaya shared his condolences on social media, stating: "Unfortunately, seven of our citizens lost their lives, and 33 were injured, with two in serious condition. I wish Allah's mercy upon those who passed away and a speedy recovery to the injured."
Emergency services responded swiftly, transporting the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. (ILKHA)
