The warning came during the funeral of Martyr Major General Abbas Nilforoushan, who was assassinated on September 27, alongside Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, by Israeli occupation regime.

Speaking at the ceremony in Isfahan, Salami condemned Israel’s assassinations of key figures, including Nilforoushan and Hezbollah commanders. He claimed that Israel believed these actions would destabilize the Axis of Resistance—a coalition that includes Hezbollah, Iran, and other groups opposed to Israel's actions in the region. However, Salami noted that "Operation True Promise 2" and the ability of Iranian missiles to bypass Israel’s Iron Dome system had already undermined Israeli calculations.

Salami emphasized that "Operation True Promise 2" was a mere warning to Israel, stating that Iran’s military capability extends far beyond what has been shown. He assured that the IRGC would retaliate against Israeli aggression and that Iran remains capable of exploiting Israel’s weaknesses.

He also dismissed the notion that the Resistance Front—an alliance led by Iran against Israel—could be weakened by the assassination of its leaders. Referring to the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, Salami asserted that Soleimani’s death had only strengthened the movement’s authority and resolve.

A large crowd of mourners, including government officials, gathered for Nilforoushan’s funeral in his hometown in Isfahan. He was a senior commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force and had served as a top advisor in Lebanon. His body was laid to rest at the martyrs' cemetery following the ceremony.

The IRGC’s warning underscores the escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, as Salami promised a decisive response to any acts of aggression. (ILKHA)
