U.S.-UK airstrikes targets civilians in Yemen
The United States and the United Kingdom conducted new airstrikes on Yemen's capital, Sana’a, and the Saada province in the early hours of Thursday, local sources reported.
In Sana’a, the strikes targeted six key areas, including the Television neighborhood, Al-Hafa, and Jarban, in both the northern and southern parts of the capital. In Saada province, nine airstrikes were reported to have hit the Kahlan and Al-Abla regions, located east of Saada city.
These attacks follow a series of airstrikes earlier in the week. On Tuesday, U.S. and British forces launched four airstrikes on the Al-Luhayyah district in the western Hodeida province. Additionally, on Monday, the same forces conducted two airstrikes in the Al-Salif district, also in Hodeida province.
The escalation in airstrikes by U.S. and U.K. forces in Yemen comes amid ongoing conflict in the region, adding to the already severe humanitarian crisis in the war-torn country. Further details regarding casualties or damage from the latest strikes have yet to be released. (ILKHA)
