Turkish airstrikes target PKK hideouts in northern Iraq
The Turkish Ministry of Defense (MSB) announced today that 14 members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were killed in air operations conducted in the Hakurk and Gara regions of northern Iraq.
The airstrikes, which took place between October 9th and 11th, targeted PKK hideouts in both regions. According to initial assessments, 9 PKK militants were neutralized in Gara and 5 in Hakurk.
The Ministry emphasized the Turkish Armed Forces' ongoing efforts to combat the PKK and its affiliated groups. The Ministry also vowed to continue its operations until "the terrorist threat" is completely eliminated. (ILKHA)
