Local sources reported that the Israeli shelling targeted a house belonging to the Sayed family in the al-Faluja area of Jabalia refugee camp, leading to civilian casualties.

This latest strike comes amid a series of attacks across Gaza, where Israeli forces have continued to bomb civilian areas. Earlier in the day, eight civilians were killed and others injured after Israeli warplanes targeted a gathering of displaced people in Gaza City, as well as two tents sheltering refugees in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

Medical sources confirmed that Israeli drone strikes killed another eight civilians in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City. The attacks left 15 more civilians, mostly women and children, injured in the targeted shelling of tents housing displaced people in both the eastern and western parts of Khan Yunis.

Additionally, three civilians were killed and 15 others wounded when Israeli forces bombed the Hafsa al-Fuqah school in Jabalia refugee camp, which had been serving as a shelter for displaced families. Among the victims was a child who was playing in the schoolyard at the time of the strike.

Since the escalation of hostilities on October 7, 2023, Israel’s ongoing military offensive against Gaza—by land, air, and sea—has resulted in the deaths of 42,289 civilians, the majority of whom are women and children. According to local sources, 98,684 civilians have been injured, with thousands still missing as search and rescue efforts continue.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire, with widespread displacement and limited access to essential supplies and medical care amid relentless bombardment. (ILKHA)
