Chicken meat production increases significantly in Türkiye
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) announced today that poultry production in Türkiye has continued to grow in August compared to the same period last year.
Hen egg production reached 1.81 billion units in August, up from 1.71 billion units in the previous month.
The number of slaughtered chickens increased by 6.2%, leading to a 5.6% increase in chicken meat production.
While turkey meat production saw a slight decline of 3.3% in August, it experienced a significant growth of 17.1% for the January-August period.
Overall, the poultry sector in Türkiye has shown resilience and growth, with positive trends in both egg and meat production. These developments contribute to the country's agricultural sector and food security. (ILKHA)
