Israeli forces kidnap over 50 Palestinians in West Bank raids
Israeli occupation forces have kidnaped at least 50 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including several former prisoners, according to a joint statement from the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.
The majority of these detentions have occurred in the Bethlehem and Jenin governorates, with additional arrests reported in Jerusalem, Nablus, Ramallah, Salfit, and Jericho.
The PPS and the Commission condemned the extensive raids and assaults carried out by Israeli forces during these detentions, noting that detainees and their families have faced harassment and threats. They also highlighted reports of field interrogations and the destruction of Palestinian homes during these operations.
Since the onset of intensified Israeli military actions against Palestinians in October 2023, over 11,300 individuals have been detained from the West Bank, including Jerusalem. The organizations have expressed deep concern over the worsening situation and called for increased international attention to ongoing human rights violations in the region. (ILKHA)
