The memorial program, attended by friends and family, included prayers and tributes to honor Irdem’s memory. Among those present was HUDA PAR Şanlıurfa Provincial Chairman, Faruk Polat.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from Fatih Atakay. In his address, Atakay emphasized the significance of martyrdom, renewing the community’s commitment to the cause for which Irdem gave his life.

“Martyrdom is a high rank bestowed only upon those whom Allah has ordained. Today, we stand before our martyr to renew our oath and promise that the cause for which he sacrificed his life will not remain unattended,” Atakay said.

He also reaffirmed the community’s dedication to upholding Irdem’s mission, adding, “We will carry forward the banner of Islam that he bequeathed to us, without wavering, and pass it on to future generations.”

Atakay urged attendees to follow the example set by Irdem, living their lives with the same dedication and values. "We will not return to our routine lives," he added. "Just as Abdusselam gave up worldly concerns to please Allah and His Messenger, we will follow the same path with consciousness and dedication."

The program concluded with a prayer as attendees reaffirmed their commitment to continuing Irdem’s legacy and the cause he championed. (ILKHA)
