President Erdoğan highlighted the improving bilateral relations between the two countries, noting the opening of consulates in Novi Pazar in 2021 and in Nis in 2022. He emphasized the strong economic and commercial ties, stating, “Our trade volume has exceeded 2 billion dollars two years in a row. We determinedly continue to take joint steps to achieve our common goal of 5 billion dollars.”

Discussing regional and global developments, President Erdoğan reaffirmed the importance of peace and stability in the Balkans, particularly in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stressed the significance of a constructive approach to the recent tension between Serbia and Kosovo.

President Erdoğan also reiterated Türkiye’s support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, emphasizing the country's commitment to efforts for lasting peace.

Addressing the ongoing conflict in the occupied Palestinian territories, President Erdoğan called for the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and geographically integrated Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. He urged the international community to recognize the Palestinian State and end the ongoing violence.

In response to questions about contributing to stability in the Balkans, President Erdoğan noted that steps must be taken based on the preservation of peace, with Turkish and Serbian officials working on defense industry cooperation. He confirmed that Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles would be included in these efforts, with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the Heads of Defense Industries from both countries overseeing the relevant work.
