Turkish navy ships to evacuate 2,000 citizens from Beirut
The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that it would begin evacuating Turkish citizens from Lebanon on Wednesday, October 9th, by sea.
Two Turkish Navy ships with a total capacity of 2,000 passengers are expected to sail to Beirut on Tuesday.
The ministry said that details of the evacuation process would be communicated to Turkish citizens who have contacted the Consulate Call Center. It also added that evacuations would continue in the following days if necessary.
Preparations to meet the needs of Turkish citizens upon their arrival in Türkiye have been completed, according to the ministry.
Türkiye's humanitarian aid will also be transported to Lebanon by the evacuation ships. (ILKHA)
