Türkiye urges global intervention following Israeli airstrike in Tulkarm
The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a strong condemnation of Israel's recent airstrike on the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm, accusing Israel of systematic violations of international law and escalating violence across the region.
In a press release issued on Friday, the ministry stated: "Israel, which commits genocide in Gaza and invades Lebanon, is also systematically violating international law in the occupied West Bank." The statement also conveyed condolences to the victims, adding: "We wish Allah's mercy upon the Palestinians who lost their lives in the Israeli air strike on the city of Tulkarm."
The ministry warned that Israel's continued actions, which aim to "destroy the Palestinian people and deny their legitimate rights," pose a significant threat to international peace and security.
Türkiye further called on international organizations, particularly the United Nations, to take immediate action to stop Israel’s violations of international law and defend the rights of the Palestinian people. The call emphasizes the urgent need for global intervention in order to prevent further deterioration of the situation in the region. (ILKHA)
