Turkish Coast Guard rescues 17 migrants pushed back by Greece
The Turkish Coast Guard rescued 17 irregular migrants, including 7 children, who were pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek forces off the coast of Kuşadası district.
The incident occurred when a fiber hulled rubber boat carrying the migrants was intercepted by Greek authorities and forced back towards Turkey.
Upon receiving information, Turkish Coast Guard teams were dispatched to the area and successfully rescued all 17 individuals.
The rescued migrants were subsequently transferred to the Aydın Provincial Migration Administration for further processing and assistance. (ILKHA)
