At least 9 civilians killed, 20 injured in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza schools
Israeli airstrikes have killed at least nine civilians and injured around 20 others, targeting schools that were sheltering displaced people in Gaza City.
Local sources reported that the Muscat School, located in the Zarqa area of the Tuffah neighborhood, was bombed by Israeli forces late Tuesday night. The attack resulted in the deaths of three civilians and left 17 others injured.
In a separate airstrike, the Al-Amal Orphanage, which was also housing displaced individuals, was hit, killing six civilians and causing additional injuries. The orphanage is located in the western part of Gaza City.
The attacks come amid a continued escalation in Israeli genocidal aggression, with the situation in Gaza growing increasingly dire as civilian casualties mount.
The international community has expressed deep concern over the ongoing genocide, calling for an immediate ceasefire and the protection of civilians, particularly vulnerable groups such as displaced families and children. (ILKHA)
