Palestinian fighters launch shooting operation in Tel Aviv, killing at least 8 Israeli settlers
At least eight Israeli settlers were killed and 20 others injured on Tuesday evening after a major shooting operation carried out by Palestinian fighters in Tel Aviv, according to local reports.
The attack took place in Israel’s commercial capital near the boundary with Jaffa, where a group of gunmen reportedly opened fire at a light rail station. Israel's Magen David Adom (MDA) ambulance service confirmed it received reports of casualties at 1601 GMT due to gunfire.
Television footage showed gunmen disembarking at the station and opening fire on civilians in the area.
The Palestinian resistance group Hamas, along with other resistance movements, praised the attack, calling it a "natural response" to Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza and airstrikes in Lebanon. (ILKHA)
