Turkish Coast Guard rescues 105 irregular migrants in Izmir
The Turkish Coast Guard rescued 105 irregular migrants, including 57 children, in five separate operations off the coast of Izmir.
According to a statement from the Coast Guard Command, the rescue operations took place in the Urla, Seferihisar, and Karaburun districts.
The migrants, including women and children, were brought ashore after being pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek forces.
The Coast Guard has been actively working to prevent human trafficking and rescue those in distress at sea. (ILKHA)
