Starting December 18, the airline will operate four weekly round trips on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from Istanbul, and Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays from Santiago.

The flights will be operated using the Airbus A350-900 aircraft, with an estimated flight duration of 19 hours and 10 minutes from Istanbul and 17 hours and 40 minutes from Santiago.

Ahmet Bolat, the chairman of Turkish Airlines, expressed his excitement about the new route, stating: "As an airline that flies to more countries than any other, we continue to be a bridge between continents and cultures. With the launch to Santiago, our 26th destination in the Americas, we reaffirm our commitment to expanding our global flight network and offering unparalleled connecting options for travelers."

The addition of Santiago to Turkish Airlines' network will bring the total number of destinations in North and South America to 26 cities in 10 countries. This expansion further solidifies Turkish Airlines' position as a leading global carrier. (ILKHA)
