Hamas official: Palestinian resistance will never surrender amid ongoing Israeli s0trikes
Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan called for an immediate cessation of Israel's military operations in Gaza and Lebanon, stating that the resistance movements in both regions would halt their actions once Israel ends its aggression.
In an interview with Al Jazeera on Wednesday, Hamdan stressed that the key to de-escalation lies with Israel, not approval from the United States.
Hamdan accused the U.S. and European nations of obstructing international support for Gaza and protecting Israel's occupation. He claimed that the U.S. administration is fully aware of the resistance's demands, which include ending Israel's aggression and occupation in both Gaza and Lebanon.
Hamdan also warned that Israel's failure to stop its military campaign in Gaza had provided Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with an opportunity to launch attacks on Lebanon. He emphasized that the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance movements will continue their struggle as long as Israel's operations persist, insisting that they would never surrender.
He also expressed gratitude to the Lebanese people for their solidarity with Gaza and dismissed attempts by Israel to divide resistance forces in Palestine, Lebanon, and elsewhere in the region. Hamdan stated that resistance fronts in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq are fully aware of Israel's objectives and would remain united in their stance.
The ongoing violence has raised concerns of further regional escalation, with heavy Israeli airstrikes reported in both Gaza and southern Lebanon. (ILKHA)
