Afghanistan to engage with BRICS on economic issues, says spokesman
Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, announced today that Afghanistan is eager to engage with other nations on pressing economic issues by participating in the upcoming BRICS summit.
The BRICS group, originally formed by Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, represents some of the world’s fastest-growing emerging economies. Mujahid emphasized that Afghanistan aims to discuss its economic challenges and explore opportunities for collaboration with these influential countries.
With China recognized as a significant global economic power, the Islamic Emirate’s outreach to BRICS underscores its desire to integrate more fully into the international economic landscape. The summit is seen as a valuable platform for Afghanistan to address its developmental needs and seek support from established economies. (ILKHA)
