Uraloğlu emphasized that the project signifies a commitment to enhancing cooperation between Türkiye and the EU. A key component of ATLAS is ELIT, a legislative information system designed with sustainability and digitalization in mind, which will centralize access to all transportation legislation.

Highlighting Türkiye's strategic geographic position, Uraloğlu noted that it plays a vital role in international transportation. He also shared that trade between Türkiye and the EU reached an impressive $210.3 billion in 2023.

The minister pointed out that since 2002, Türkiye has invested $277 billion in transportation and communication infrastructure, with aspirations of becoming a logistics hub. Uraloğlu set a goal to increase the share of freight transported by rail from 5% to 22% by 2053.

Describing the ATLAS Project as the first comprehensive initiative focused on transportation legislation, he asserted that collaboration with the EU would yield mutual benefits. Uraloğlu added that upcoming projects aligned with sustainability and digitalization principles would enhance social welfare, and reaffirmed Türkiye's openness to strategic partnerships with the EU.
