Iran unveils new military achievements during Sacred Defense Week parade
Iran's Armed Forces showcased their latest technological advancements in a military parade on Saturday morning, marking the beginning of Sacred Defense Week.
The event, which took place nationwide, was attended by top Iranian officials, including President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Among the highlights of the parade was the unveiling of the Fattah hypersonic missile, the newest addition to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force's arsenal. By developing this missile, Iran has joined an elite group of only four countries possessing hypersonic missile technology.
The parade also featured other cutting-edge military equipment, including the Shahed 136B drone, a new domestically-produced drone, and the Jahad ballistic missile, the latest IRGC ballistic missile.
Iran’s Armed Forces have made significant strides in recent years, achieving self-sufficiency by manufacturing a broad range of indigenous military equipment. The country's leadership has consistently emphasized that these defense capabilities, particularly missile development, are solely for defensive purposes and will not be part of any international negotiations.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has repeatedly called for continuous efforts to expand and enhance the nation’s defense capabilities, further strengthening the country’s military power.
The parade underscored Iran's commitment to advancing its military prowess and showcased the strategic importance of self-reliance in defense technology. (ILKHA)
