Israeli airstrikes pound southern Lebanon and Bekaa Valley
Israeli warplanes launched a series of more than 70 airstrikes across southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley late this evening, targeting several towns and villages in the region.
The affected areas in southern Lebanon included Mahmoudiyeh, Balat, Kafr Kela, Ain el Kbir, Barghoz, Jabal al-Rihan, Al-Jbour, and the banks of the Litani River.
In the western Bekaa Valley, the towns of Ayn al-Tineh and Maidoun were also hit by the strikes. The air offensive was supported by extensive overflights of military and reconnaissance aircraft, intensifying already high tensions in the region.
No immediate reports of casualties or damage have been provided. (ILKHA)
