Turkmenistan invests $1.5 billion in Afghanistan

The country aims to further strengthen its political, economic, commercial, transportation, and transit relations with its neighbor.

At a meeting highlighting the bilateral infrastructure projects, Meredov invited India, Pakistan, international banks, and the Asian Development Bank to invest in the TAPI gas pipeline project.

The acting head of the Afghan embassy in Turkmenistan, Fazl Mohammad Saber, expressed the Islamic Emirate's commitment to implementing joint projects with Turkmenistan. He emphasized that these projects symbolize the strong friendship and brotherhood between the two nations.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, stated that economic relations and bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan are currently expanding.

The meeting was also attended by ambassadors from China and India, the head of the Asian Development Bank branch, and the head of the UN representative, who expressed their support and praise for the implementation of these joint projects. (ILKHA)
