The fatalities included prominent figures such as Hussein Ali Alauddin, known as Zakaria, and Hossein Ayub Faqih, known as Baqer, who were described as martyrs on the path to Al-Quds (Jerusalem). Additionally, Mohammad Mehdi Ali Ammar, a member of the Lebanese parliament known as Zulfiqar, was also among the dead.

Other Hezbollah members killed in the attack were identified as Abbas Bilal Manem, Hussein Ahmad Mentash (Salah), Mohammad Zakaria Abbas (Hydera), Najib Abdul Hossein Alauddin (Ali Mazloum), Hassan Mohammad Yassin, Hasan Ahmad Muhammad, and Youssef Ghazat Alwa.

The incident occurred after Israel reportedly sabotaged communication equipment embedded with explosives, which were supplied to Lebanon. The explosions left 2,750 people injured across various locations in the country, many in critical condition.

Hezbollah, in a strongly worded statement, held Israel responsible for the deadly attack and vowed retaliation. "The treacherous and criminal enemy will undoubtedly face its just punishment for this sinful aggression," the statement read.

The blasts came amid heightened tensions in the region, with ongoing cross-border clashes between Hezbollah and Israel, exacerbated by the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza. (ILKHA)
