Communication device explosions injure dozens of Hezbollah fighters in Beirut
A major security incident in Dahieh, a district south of Beirut, has left dozens of people injured, according to local media in Lebanon.
Preliminary reports from the area indicate that several Hezbollah fighters sustained injuries when a communication device exploded. Hezbollah's Al Manar TV confirmed that wireless communication devices, specifically pagers, had malfunctioned and exploded, injuring their users in various locations across Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Al Jazeera reported that the pagers used by Hezbollah had been hacked, leading to the explosions. The cause of the security breach remains unclear, but the incident has raised concerns about potential cyberattacks on Hezbollah’s communication systems.
The extent of the injuries and the number of affected individuals are still being assessed as investigations into the incident continue. (ILKHA)
