These infants are among more than 16,700 Palestinian children killed since Israeli attacks began on 7 October, according to Gaza's government media office.

The total death toll among Palestinians has reached 41,226, with the Palestinian Health Ministry working to collect personal data on all victims. The ministry previously published the names of 34,344 people killed up to 31 August and is finalizing information for nearly 7,000 more.

Among the deceased are 11,355 children, 6,297 women, 2,955 elderly, and 13,737 men. The list includes 710 infants, under the age of one, most of whom were born and killed during the war.

A tragic case highlighted by the media involved newborn twins, a boy and a girl, who were killed in an Israeli airstrike just three days after their birth. Their father, Muhammad Abu al-Qumsan, was on his way to register their birth when he received news of their death, alongside their mother and grandmother.

International organizations and human rights groups have repeatedly expressed concern over the high number of Palestinian children killed in Israeli strikes. James Elder, UNICEF spokesperson, described Gaza as a "graveyard for children" and warned that their worst fears of children being killed in large numbers had come true within weeks of the bombing campaign.

Despite these warnings, the death toll among Palestinian civilians continues to rise as the war drags on. (ILKHA)
