In Poland, one person drowned in the southwestern region of Klodzko, which Prime Minister Donald Tusk described as the hardest-hit area of the country. Over 1,600 people have been evacuated from Klodzko county, and the situation remains critical.

The Czech Republic has also been severely affected by the floods, with a quarter of a million homes losing power and three people missing after a car fell into a river. Authorities in the region have evacuated 1,900 people, and many roads are impassable.

In Austria, a firefighter lost their life while battling the floods in Lower Austria, which has been declared a disaster area. The Danube River is expected to rise significantly in Budapest, approaching levels seen during the devastating floods of 2013.

Romania has also suffered from the heavy rainfall, with four people killed and 5,000 homes damaged. The country's emergency response unit is still searching for two missing people.

As the situation continues to evolve, authorities in affected countries are working tirelessly to provide relief and support to those affected by the floods. (ILKHA)
